Merger with CompSoc reaches completion.

Following an extensive consultation, we are pleased to be able to announce that CyberSoc has become the official course-based society for the Cardiff School of Computer Science from 2020/21.

Reflecting on the move, Jack Tilson (President) said: 'I am confident that this decision is the right one, and will enable CyberSoc to expand its horizons and benefit a significantly increased pool of students who hold aspirations in a whole host of industry sectors beyond security alone. We continue to strive to bring out the best in students and create an increasingly cohesive and regular interface between organisations and Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd students to facilitate insightful symbiotic events and initiatives for everybody to enjoy, regardless of their background or experience.'

Also in reflection, Kriti Shewaramani (incoming VP Cyber and Risk Management and former CompSoc Secretary), said: 'I am delighted to be a part of this newly merged society, I am certain we will now be able to cater for the whole of the school and wider university in all things tech. I am looking forward to assuming my role of VP covering Cyber and Risk Management - industry sectors I have always been interested in - alongside my upcoming position as a Security Intern at Atradius; the roles complement each other well. Here is to a great year!'
